SEC form reveals a new Stanford VC fund is raising $91.2M

According to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, newly formed Stanford venture capitalist firm Danhua Capital raised $91.2 million.

Since its founding in 2013, the fund has invested in several young companies such as Apportable, which received $5 million towards the development of a tool for getting games to natively run across iOS and Android platforms, and virtual reality gaming company Survios.

The company’s partner’s are Stanford University Physics Professor Shoucheng Zhang and Stanford alumnae Anjia Andrew Gu. Professor Zhang is known for his work with Spintronics– which manipulates the natural “spin” of electrons in technological devices.
