The shop’s two iPhone apps, KitCam and PhotoForge2, are kaput, effective immediately. Seriously, you can’t even find them in iTunes anymore.

“As photography enthusiasts, we are longtime admirers of Flickr, and we’re thrilled to be able to bring our technology and passion for beautiful photos to the Flickr team,” the company writes in its homepage farewell note.

“There has been so much exciting progress at Yahoo as they reimagine their most-loved products for mobile, including the awesome new Flickr apps for iOS and Android.”

The terms of the deal, including price, are undisclosed.

Current users of KitCam and PhotoForge2 will be able to use their apps, but the software will no longer be maintained or supported.

GhostBird Software is based in Toronto, Ontario, and was founded in 2008. The small shop lists fewer than 10 employees on LinkedIn and was founded by a former Electronic Arts employee, Travis Houlette, and Ye Lu.
