Girl is finally back on Earth — 2,489 days after she left to connect the planets.

A small but dedicated playing community has unlocked the end credits to the eccentric PlayStation 3 game Noby Noby Boy. Released way back in February 2009, the game asked players to collectively stretch a worm-like character called Girl to every planet in the solar system and back to Earth by stretching their own controllable Boy characters and reporting the results. If that sounds a little odd, that’s because it is.

Players have now achieved that end goal — with 33 Boys and a stretching multiplier helping out on the final day — and have unlocked a new world along with a letter from the game’s creator Keita Takahashi, who previously made the PlayStation 2 classic Katamari Damacy and is now developing the offbeat Wattam for PlayStation 4.

If you fire up Noby Noby Boy now, you’ll also see the end credits and be able to read the letter, which is actually kind of touching. If you don’t have the game, you can see the full letter below, as captured by Twitter user @KatamariItems.

I just fired up Noby Noby to witness this minor gaming milestone, and it’s still possible to play despite the fact that the end goal has been reached. Which is good news for anyone who didn’t get to try out the oddly relaxing title and is now inspired to do so.
