Google Play, which replaced the Android Market earlier this year, is vying for the mobile app space throne against Apple’s reigning iTunes app store. This morning we reported that mobile stat tracker site AppAnnie.com had added Google Play to its offering of analytics, and to kick things off it has released the following infographic (click here to see the full-sized version).

App Annie explains that both companies are seeing equal growth annually, which means Google has no chance of playing catch-up.
