One collector’s selling the entire lineup of Japanese PlayStation games in a massive auction lot.
Yahoo Auctions user Wmmft148 has collected 3,290 Japanese PlayStation games, reports DualShockers. They’re now selling them at auction with a starting price of 3,000,000 Yen, or around $24,000. The games are used and come in a variety of conditions, and the seller’s currently confirmed that at least 2,600 load up fine.
Video game collecting is a popular hobby, and last year the world’s largest collection sold for $750,000. It contained over 11,000 games for 200 different consoles, with more than 2,600 still in their shrink wrap. This Japanese PlayStation collection is relatively small in comparison, but the auction price is also a lot more affordable. It’ll be interesting to see if anyone snaps up the 98 boxes of games, which take up roughly two judo mats of floor space, according to the listing.
