Thinking back to June of this year, one of the hottest topics at E3 was Sunset Overdrive. It looked like one of the few Xbox One exclusives worth owning, and now we’re only days away from its Tuesday, October 28th release.

If you’re already looking to buy the game on Day One, you might consider pre-ordering to catch one of the many retailer bonuses out there. All retailers offer the “Day One Edition” of the game if you pre-order, but Insomniac Games has elected to throw in another bonus for pre-ordering from the biggest stores – each store’s own unique pre-order bonus digital content (weapons and outfits). That may be worth investigating if you’re all about DLC, but more importantly, two retailers are throwing in monetary incentives on top of that.

Pre-order from the Microsoft Store and you’ll get a $10 Xbox gift card or $15 in Xbox Live points if you’re an Xbox Live Rewards member. On top of that, if you pre-order from MS Store by Friday, October 24th at 2PM Pacific, you’ll get free release day arrival of the game. Not bad, but to compete, Best Buy is throwing in a bonus $10 worth of “My Best Buy” Rewards. While BB doesn’t have free release day arrival shipping, they do offer free store pickup, which is effectively equal if there’s a store in your area.

These and the other retailers are offering the unique DLC listed below.

Sunset Overdrive Day One Edition (Xbox One) — $59.99 + Free $10 Xbox Gift Card and Free Release Day Delivery from Microsoft Store. Release day arrival only valid if you pre-order by 10/24 at 2pm Pacific and within the continental US. In addition to Day One Ed. content, you’ll also get two unique DLCs.
Other offers with their own unique DLCs:

> Best Buy offers $10 “My Best Buy” Rewards & two unique in-game items
> GameStop has two unique in-game items
> Amazon has two unique in-game items
> Walmart has one unique in-game items

If you’re a PC gamer, you’re probably excited for tomorrow’s release of Sid Meier’s Civilization: Beyond Earth. You might already know pre-ordering before tomorrow’s launch gets you a bonus “Exoplanets Map Pack” DLC bonus, but there’s also a hefty 25% discount at GMG.
