The video shows a new character, a Templar, in an Arctic setting with a pirate ship in the background. This confirms previous rumors that a last-gen Assassin’s Creed game would focus on the same sort of seafaring action as last year’s Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. It also lists a Nov. 11 release date for this Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 game. You can see the trailer below.
Publisher Ubisoft is already releasing Assassin’s Creed: Unity for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on Oct. 28. That installment in the popular stealth/action-based series takes place in Paris during the French Revolution. Rogue, however, looks to stick to the naval-based gameplay of Black Flag. If yearly releases of the franchise felt like overkill, it’ll be interesting to see how consumers react to two distinctly different Assassin’s Creed games coming out in the same season.
