Even Bruce Wayne can use a little government money every now and then.

Warner Bros. Games Montreal, the developer of the upcoming action game Batman: Arkham Origins, has received a $1.5 million grant from the Quebec government, as originally spotted by Gamasutra. This will open the door for around 100 new jobs and enable the company to buy new equipment, according to CTV News.

“This Warner Brothers studio here in Montreal only opened three years ago, but it is growing rapidly. In five years’ time, the executives here expect that this studio will be on a par with every other Warner Brothers studio,” said Warner Brothers Montreal studio chief Martin Carrier to CTV News.

The Quebec government also recently gave publisher Ubisoft a $9.9-million non-repayable provincial grant and Quebec tax credits.

Warner Bros. Games Montreal opened in 2010 in Montreal. After working on an enhanced port of Batman: Arkham City for the Nintendo Wii U, Batman: Arkham City Armored Edition, the developer is now about to release its first original game, Batman: Arkham Origins.

Arkham Origins comes out on Oct. 25 for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and PC.
