Bayonetta locked down as GameStop preorder exclusive for Anarchy Reigns

Sega will still release Anarchy Reigns, but Bayonetta will only come with a GameStop pre-order.

Bayonetta in Anarchy Reigns

If I’m gonna cause chaos and anarchy, I’m going to cause chaos and anarchy with a hyper-tall witch with hair for clothing.

The only way to make that happen in Sega’s upcoming online brawler, Anarchy Reigns, is to preorder the game from retailer GameStop. Sega locked down the titular character from Bayonetta and two entire Anarchy Reigns modes as exclusive preorder bonuses at GameStop. Anarchy Reigns releases Jan. 8 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 for $29.99.

The modes, Mad Survival and Dogfight, may seem like pretty significant portions of the game, but they are just variations on the title’s other modes.

Mad Survival is a horde-mode-like mode where three players fight off waves of opponents that are based on other player characters, as opposed to Anarchy Reign’s normal survival mode which just features generic enemies.

Dogfight will have players hanging from helicopters and firing at one another until one player falls to their doom.
