Heroes don’t run from Doom, they run towards it.
Bethesda is doing a test for developer id Software’s upcoming Doom game, and you can participate. Head to the game’s official website, and click the “alpha” button on the top right to signup. The test is running on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, and you can register for any of those platforms. This should give players a taste of what a Doom will look like in 2016, which could generate even more interest in what is already a beloved franchise.

If you’re having trouble getting the website to work, just keep trying. It took us a few attempts, but we were able to register for both Xbox One and Steam codes after refreshing the page a few times.
Doom is due out in the first half of 2016. It is an updated take on the classic 1993 shooter that jumpstarted the first-person shooter genre. For year, we called these game “Doom clones” because the original was so influential.
Bethesda and id showed off of a lengthy gameplay demonstration of the new Doom at last year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo trade show in Los Angeles, and you can check that out below.
