Earlier today, Bethesda confirmed that it will charge $15 a month for The Elder Scrolls Online, but that’s in addition to the fee that gamers pay to access the Xbox Live and PlayStation Network premium services on the next-gen consoles.
The Elder Scrolls Online is due out in the first quarter of 2014 for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Both next-gen consoles currently require separate subscriptions to access any online multiplayer, and Bethesda wants to charge a subscription fee on top of that.

However, this is a topic we continue to discuss with Sony and Microsoft.”
Hines didn’t elaborate on what those talks might entail.
“If and when we have any additional news or info, we’ll be sure to let folks know,” said Hines.
Xbox Live Gold costs $10 a month or $60 for a year. PlayStation Plus is $18 for three months or $50 a year. Gamers will have to pay those fees in addition to the $15 a month to access The Elder Scrolls Online on the next-gen consoles. On PC, gamers will only have to pay the game fee.
