— BRIEF FOLLOWS —

Good day to all field agents. This is a coded blue briefing open classification for all readers. Feel free to make copies.

First, I’d like to welcome you to the Ministry. You should know that your inclusion in our organization is a continuation of the finest traditions in the observation of gaming and pop-culture phenomena. Your eager mind and enjoyment of electronic entertainment will be a benefit to our organization and, of course, to the world.

You are reading this briefing now because the concepts and mission of the Ministry have become declassified. We can now proudly announce our existence and carry out our important mission of recording, analyzing, and influencing game culture.

Attached you will find a video communique from the 2009 Tekken 6 North American Championships. Namco Bandai held this event in San Francisco, California in December 2009. I highly recommend you review this video, as the Tekken 6 gameplay from this tournament is of the highest caliber. It is critical that if you find yourself facing a Tekken 6 match in the field, that you have prepared yourself mentally for what you might face. Additionally, recognizing some of the usual suspects in the Tekken arena will certainly be valuable and possibly prevent a humbling experience.

Agent, you will be receiving ongoing briefings from the Ministry at various times, which will either aid in your critical gaming skills, provide insight to design and game creation, or simply entertain and broaden your horizons in the game industry.

For your service, I salute you!

Signed,
Tracy Ryan Peterson
