Developers at From Software showed off a new feature of the upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive Bloodborne today at the PlayStation Experience event in Las Vegas.

Hidetaka Miyazaki, president of From Software (and co-creator of Dark Souls and Demon’s Souls), showed off a new level of Bloodborne, the dark and eerie action role-playing game coming in March.

Speaking through a translator, he showed off the Chalice Dungeon, an unending dungeon that is procedurally generated, which means it spawns enemies and levels on the fly and is different each time. That means players will be able to enter the dungeon underneath the town of Yarnham and have a different experience each time.

You can also play the dungeon in cooperative mode with a friend, who can assume the identity of the white hunter player, carrying a gigantic hammer. That will come in useful as you fight bosses like a fire-breathing ancient dog-like monster. The cooperative mode is one way to provide endless replayability for fans of the game, Miyazaki said.

You can also take the experience and share it with friends.

The game is one of 800 titles being shown off at the PlayStation Experience fan event in Las Vegas this weekend.
