A Call of Duty tradition returns.
Publisher Activision announced a new co-op zombie mode for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops III today during a panel at the San Diego Comic Con. The mode, called Shadows of Evil, comes with Black Ops III when it comes out on Nov. 6 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. Activision has generated more than $10 billion from Call of Duty over the past decade.
Shadows of Evil lets up to four players try to survive waves of the walking dead in a ’40s film noir setting, playing as characters voiced by notable stars Jeff Goldblum, Heather Graham, Neal McDonough, Ron Perlman, and Robert Picardo (one of them is presumably playing the villain).
2008’s World at War was the first Call of Duty to feature a zombie mode. Since then, it has become a staple in every entry developed by Treyarch (Black Ops, Black Ops II, and now Black Ops III).
