Activision announced today that its Call of Duty games will support the Sony PlayStation 4 Pro‘s superior graphics when the system ships.

During Sony’s event in New York, Activision showed a scene from the upcoming Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare running on the PS4 Pro. Sony has upgraded its flagship console with a faster graphics processing unit and a higher clock on its central processing unit (CPU). It supports 4K video, which has four times as many pixels as standard high-definition TVs. It also has high-dynamic range (HDR) lighting, which allows for better shadows and bright lighting in the same image.

Call of Duty’s newest version, Infinite Warfare, as well as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered, have been created for the PS4 Pro’s graphics. They will work with the older PS4 graphics as well. And with a support update, the players of Call of Duty: Black Ops III (last year’s title) will be able to play it on the PS4 Pro as well.

Meanwhile, Electronic Arts said Battlefield 1 and FIFA 17 will support the PS4 Pro as well, and so will Mass Effect Andromeda next year. Shawn Layden, head of Sony’s PlayStation business, said that HDR is going to be available as a software upgrade for all 40 million-plus PS4 owners. He said that it was like going from 64 colors to 64 million colors, in terms of what it delivers for visual quality.
