Call of Duty: Ghosts will run at 60 frames per second on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The modern-military shooter will not, however, run at the same resolution on both next-gen systems.
In a Twitter message today, Call of Duty: Ghosts executive producer Mark Rubin confirmed that Call of Duty: Ghosts will run at a lower resolution than its PlayStation 4 counterpart.

This means that, on Xbox One, the hardware is only creating 720 vertical lines to make up the image. The console then scales that up to take up 1,080 lines once it reaches your television. On PlayStation 4, the game is always at 1,080 lines — no scaling required.
It’s possible that, for those with an eye for detail, the PlayStation 4 version could look crisper than on the Microsoft console. It’s also possible that Call of Duty: Ghosts will look nearly identical. The game will hit PlayStation 4 on Nov. 15 and Xbox One on Nov. 22. That’s when we’ll find out.
Rubin didn’t say why the Xbox One version is running at a lower resolution. We’ve contacted the developer to ask, and we’ll update this post with any new information.
