As a PC gamer, there’s really not much of an incentive to pay full price for a game anymore. It was only February 4th of this year that 2K Games finally got around to launching the Civilization V Complete Edition with the game, its expansions, and all the many DLCs priced at $49.99. That looks like a bargain, since when you add up all the list prices for buying each item separately, they comes out to $149. But that price is old news; not even 3 weeks later, there’s already a 75% discount.

Today NewEgg has a $37.49 coupon code out, dropping the Civilization V Complete Edition price down to $12.50. Note: While NewEgg says this game will only work for Mac, the Steam Key they send will also work on PC. While the base game has been out since 2010, the latest expansion was launched in the summer of 2013, so it’s not like everything is ancient history. This might just be a great deal – no one is coming close to this discount.

In other gaming deal news, you’ll find some classic Final Fantasy re-release discounts. GameStop has both the 2013 PC re-releases of Final Fantasy VIII and Final Fantasy VII down to $5.99, or half their $11.99 list prices. It’s an especially good deal for FF8, considering its relatively recent December 2013 relaunch.
