Nintendo’s loyalty program is coming to an end, but you can still get some pretty cool items … if you can log on.
Club Nintendo’s servers cannot take the heat. The publisher added a number of new games as rewards for people who have reached the elite statuses in the program by registering software and hardware with the site. I can finally pick up that copy of Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze I’ve had my eye on. Only only problem: Club.Nintendo.com is barely functioning.
“We’re experiencing heavy traffic at the moment, so accessing your account may take a little longer than usual and you may see display issues with your account when logged in,” reads the Nintendo site.
Right now, Nintendo is telling fans to just keep trying. The company plans to keep these items up through the end of April, so you’ll have some time to grab what you want.
