You’re going to have to wait for a while before going back to running the same raid over and over again.

Destiny’s servers are down across all platforms today. They went offline about an hour ago. This is part of a planned maintenance event, and developer Bungie says it will have its multiplayer sci-fi shooter back up and running soon. The developer is boosting its backend so that Destiny can support the upcoming 1.2.0 patch, which will go fully live at a “later date.”

So this update won’t result in any player-facing changes, but it is definitely preparing the game for the House of Wolves expansion. That should hit May 19, and it brings a bunch of new content with it.

And even though you can’t play Destiny right now, you can still watch it. Bungie is hosting a livestreaming event detailing some of its upcoming features on Twitch.
