It’s not downloadable content in 2012 if it doesn’t have a Horde mode.

Dishonored, the first-person stealth-action game set in an oil-punk alternative-world London-like city called Dunwall, is getting three sets of DLC. The first add-on pack, called Dunwall City Trials, features 10 trial maps, including one that pits players against waves of computer-controlled opponents like in Gears of War’s Horde mode. Other Dunwall City Trials areas focus on timed platforming and assassination races.

This first expansion, due December for $4.99 (400 Microsoft Points), includes new Achievements and Trophies, and players can track their friends across each trial using the in-game leaderboards.

The next two DLC sets expand Dishonored’s story with new campaigns.

Expansion two, due spring 2013, focuses on Daud, the leader of a supernatural group called “The Whalers.” It’s still set in Dunwall, where you track down Daud’s special weapons and gadgets. No word on whether the Hartford hockey team is involved in any way.

The developer will detail expansion 3’s plot at a later date.

Arkane and publisher of Bethesda did not announce a price for the second and third add-ons.
