Even if you’re just a head, things can be fine. Heck, even Double Fine.

The newest game from the Broken Age developer, Headlander, is a 2D sidescroller that stars a head. Yup, just the head. But don’t worry! It can find bodies to borrow. Interestingly, Double Fine, a studio known for kickstarting the whole … well, Kickstarter fad … isn’t using crowdfunding to help release this game. Instead, Double Fine is making this with Adult Swim Games, which is mostly known for online Flash stuff like Robot Unicorn Attack and projects based on Adult Swim shows.

Double Fine had success with Kickstarter for games Broken Age and Massive Chalice. It even recently partnered with developers Obsidian and InXile to start a new crowdfunding site made specifically for gaming, Fig. While we know Double Fine games will seek funding on Fig eventually, it seems that Headlander won’t be one of them.

You can check out the first trailer for the sci-fi game below.

We don’t know what platforms Headlander will hit, but it has a 2016 release window.
