We’re finally getting a new Dragon Quest.

Sony announced today that Dragon Quest Heroes, an action-based take on Square Enix’s popular role-playing game series, is coming to North America and Europe for the PlayStation 4 later this year. The Japanese version launches for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 on Friday.

Dragon Quest Heroes is from Dynasty Warriors studio Omega Force. They previously created an action-focused take on Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda series for the Wii U, Hyrule Warriors.

We haven’t actually had a Dragon Quest game localized for us in some time. The last main entry in the series, the massively multiplayer Dragon Quest X for Wii U, Wii, 3DS, PC, and Android, never received a U.S. release.
