LOS ANGELES — The beautiful game, the gridiron, UFC, and Drake. They were all on the stage today at Electronic Arts’ pre-Electronic Entertainment Expo media briefing.

EA Sports finally showed off its next-gen sports games in action. NBA Live 14, Madden NFL 25, FIFA 14, and UFC all had a few minutes each to demonstrate what they will look like on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. EA Sports president Andrew Wilson promised that the visuals and the gameplay will benefit from its new Ignite Engine that it specifically designed for its sports games on next-gen consoles.

The company also, oddly, had rapper Drake come out to talk about FIFA.

“I’m just a fan who loves FIFA. I’m just a fan who plays a lot of FIFA, and I can’t wait to see the next generation of FIFA,” said Drake.

The publisher then went on to show trailers for each game.
