Effective May 20, the suggested retail price for the DSi will drop from $149.99 to $99.99, and the plus-sized XL will go from $169.99 to $129.99.

The drop on the XL is especially significant, since it has cost the same as the newer 3DS since Nintendo dropped the price on that system last year. The console maker pledged to decrease its manufacturing overhead on its portable systems during its financial briefing last month.
