Battlefield 4 publisher Electronic Arts wants gamers to pay attention to its triple-A first-person shooter.
Just days after Activision revealed the multiplayer for its anticipated shooter Call of Duty: Ghosts, EA is starting up an ad campaign that focuses on the multiplayer for developer DICE’s Battlefield 4.

These players describe their most exciting moments of gameplay in excited tones. For example, one player talks about racking up kills in a helicopter before having to abandon it and jumping down into an enemies base.
The ads end with the stinger: “Only in Battlefield 4.”
The message is clear — these kinds of emergent moments aren’t possible in Call of Duty: Ghosts.
Battlefield 4 is due out for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on Oct. 29. That’s only a week before Activision will release Call of Duty: Ghosts on Nov. 5. This is the first time since 2011 that these two shooter franchises will go up against one another through the holiday season.
