Former New England Patriot’s tight end Aaron Hernandez will not even get to play digital football this season.
Publisher Electronic Arts revealed today that it’s dropping all images of Hernandez from Madden NFL 25 and NCAA Football 14, according to CBS Sports. This comes after Massachusetts State Police arrested Hernandez on charges for the murder of semipro football player Odin Lloyd.

However, he is not in the game, and anyone who unlocks that particular Nike Skills Trainer reward will receive an Alex Smith Ultimate Team player item instead. The image of Hernandez will be removed via [an update] in the near future.”
Earlier today, an image of someone earning the particular Aaron Hernandez Ultimate Team card went viral. This prompted EA to come out and make its statement.
