Yub nub! Greedo, Bib Fortuna, and the Rancor keeper are all finally coming to Minecraft.
Microsoft, the company that now owns Minecraft and developer Mojang, announced today that it is releasing a Star Wars skin pack for the block-building game on Xbox One and Xbox 360. You can use this $3 downloadable content to dress up your avatar like a character from George Lucas’s space opera. Oh, and these skins are only from Episode IV: A New Hope through Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.
This is exciting news even if hokey religions and ancient weapons aren’t your thing.
Star Wars joins a number of other licensed add-ons for Minecraft. Microsoft has previously released skin packs for The Avengers super heroes, the sci-fi shooter Halo, and the open-world fantasy role-playing game The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
