Epic isn’t just making Unreal, both the shooter and game-building engine.
The developer revealed today that it is also making a new game called Paragon that will launch in 2016. It’s for the PC, and it is getting a beta test at some point in the future. You can sign up for that test right now by going to the PlayParagon website and registering for an Epic Games account.

But it has shared a teaser trailer.

The above video is clearly a reveal trailer for one of the playable characters in Paragon. He is called Twinblast, and he looks tough and mean, which should make him a good video game shooterman.
On the Paragon website, Epic has dates for future reveals throughout the rest of this month and into the beginning of December. Likely, by then, we’ll know exactly what to expect from this game.
While we don’t know much about Paragon, it’s likely safe to say that Epic is using its popular Unreal Engine to build the game. The company licenses out the use of those tools to other developers, and it often uses games — like its Unreal shooter — to show what Unreal is capable of. It’s possible that Paragon could fulfill the same role.
