Star Trek is boldly going to a mobile genre that many have gone to before.

Star Trek: Wrath of Gems is a match-3 puzzle game out today for iOS and Android devices. It’s from developer Genera Games, which also created the Frozen: Free Fall puzzle game for mobile. You can check out a trailer for the free-to-play title below, which promises — among other things — “strategic diplomatic encounters.”

The trailer includes characters from the original show and Star Trek: The Next Generation. I have a pretty intense, morbid curiosity about this thing. I just have to see how seriously it takes itself. Besides, you really can’t find many Star Trek mobile games these days despite that the market could be worth $30 billion in 2015, according to research firm Newzoo.
