Publisher Bethesda is fixing up its latest release, and the game should run a little bit better than before.

Fallout 4 got a major update today on PC, and you should see notable improvements in framerate. Players on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 should expect it in the near future. This patch also adds a minor new feature, but it looks like Bethesda focused most of its resources on improving the stability of its open-world role-playing game. This means it should run smoother in general but also operate better in areas like the Corvega Assembly Plant, which can cause the game to chug terribly.

This is likely just the first of many patches. Bethesda is well known for supporting its games after their initial release. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, for example, got its first update in November 2011 that brought the game to version 1.1. Bethesda didn’t stop with the patches until April 2013 and version 1.9. Of course, with games the size of Skyrim and Fallout, the developer probably needs an extra year or two to get everything working properly.

As for Fallout 4, the big new change is that you can remap the number-pad keys on PC. But here is the full list of changes direct from Bethesda:
