If you’re on the Borderlands 2 train, get out your cash or show your season pass to the conductor because the first downloadable content is almost here.

Developer Gearbox Software is preparing Captain Scarlett and Her Pirate’s Booty, the first DLC, for release on October 16. Scarlett’s Booty costs $9.99, or 800 Microsoft Points on the Xbox 360 … and I’m really starting to think they named it that just so I would have to write that sentence.
As mentioned above, if you’ve already paid for the season pass, that covers the price of this download. Although, that deal does not cover all DLC, like the Mechromancer.
This add-on expansion includes a new minicampaign, characters, missions, enemy types, and guns. Players perform objectives for Captain Scarlett, who could be good or bad but is definitely a pirate. If I were to judge her book by the cover, I’d have to say she looks wicked evil.
Players also get to play around with a new sand skiff vehicle, which looks oddly familiar. Pray that no one makes you walk the plank into a monstrous desert hole creature — and if they do, hopefully you won’t accidentally kill the coolest character. Never forget.
