Another weapon in Disney’s mobile gaming arsenal is about to become fully operational.

The official Star Wars Twitter account just announced Tiny Death Star, an upcoming mobile game with an adorable 8-bit aesthetic. Similar to Angry Birds Star Wars, Tiny Death Star adds the series flavor to an established mobile game, this time developer NimbleBit’s Tiny Tower, which had players make their own skyscrapers and manage all of its residents and floors.

“Live life on the dark side and join Emperor Palpatine and Darth Vader on a mission to attract Galactic bitizens, run intergalactic businesses, and build an all-new Death Star,” details Disney Interactive’s blog. “Construct unique Star Wars-themed locations to attract iconic characters and species to your space station in this 8-bit style game.”

Of course, it feels a little weird to make a cute social game around the building and populating of a gigantic weapon of planetary destruction, but oh, well. Look at how cute 8-bit Darth Vader is!

Disney says the game will be available worldwide soon. The original Tiny Tower is a free-to-play game, so don’t act surprised if Tiny Death Star uses a similar model.
