An announcement for the next game in the Forza Motorsport franchise comes alongside a new partnership with Ford.
Forza Motorsport 6 is coming for the Xbox One (and not the Xbox 360), and the new Ford GT is the cover car, with the two debuting at the same time. But don’t expect much in the way of details on the upcoming racer, as Microsoft’s partnership with Ford was the focus of today’s announcement at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit.

Given that the spotlight is now on Ford’s new cars, Forza fans will have to wait for more on the game. Aside from saying that Forza Motorsport 6 will be their “most technically advanced racing simulation to date,” all is quiet. Turn 10 Studios’ creative director Dan Greenawalt says that they’ll unveil gameplay at E3 in June.
The McLaren P1 was the cover car and marketing face of Forza Motorsport 5. This is not the Ford GT’s debut for racing game covers — a previous model Ford GT was the cover car for PlayStation 2 racer Gran Turismo 4.
