That was the case for the licensed game based on the 2008 blockbuster The Dark Knight, which was supposed to come out the same time as the movie (and later the home video release, and then … well, never). Star Wars: Battlefront (the originals, not the one that came out in 2015) developer Pandemic worked on the title, but it became such a disaster that it sent the studio on a path to ruin.
