GamesBeat Community: The ‘Year of Luigi’ is almost done. Who’s next?

Nintendo mastermind Shigeru Miyamoto, and the guy who created Luigi in the first place, recently said that the Year of Luigi ends on March 18. Surely, a sad day for Italian little brothers (like me) everywhere.

Of course, that means that it’s time for another video game icon to get a little recognition. So, who do you think should get a whole year dedicated to them? Maybe it’s time for the Year of Samus? Hell, why not a non-Nintendo character. I’d kill for a Year of Protoman.
