Your GOG library could bigger without spending a cent.

That digital game store has launched Connect today, a new feature that syncs your GOG account with the an account on Steam. Steam is Valve’s digital gaming store, and it’s the largest one in the world for computer games. GOG, however, gives users DRM-free (digital rights management) versions of games. Right now, stores like Steam, Origin, and GOG have to compete a worldwide digital games market that was worth $6.2 billion in April alone, according to research group SuperData.

DRM restricts access users have to digital media in an attempt to fight against piracy, but it often inconveniences consumers since it can limit their access to a game. It could require them to have an online connection in order to play, for example. Other services, like Humble Bundle, will give you a choice or multiple keys for a game across different platforms. It’s unique, however, to have service give you free games based on if you bought them at a different digital store before.

“Thanks to our awesome partners including Deep Silver, Harebrained Schemes, Jonathan Blow’s Number None, TaleWorlds, and more, you can now add more than 20 games to your GOG.com library if you previously purchased them on Steam,” GOG noted. “While GOG Connect will stick around, the available games will come and go. These are limited-time offers made possible by participating developers and publishers, so stay tuned as we bring new titles on board in the future (and grab your copies before they go away)!”
