Aiming to bring new attention to Grand Theft Auto V during the critical holiday season, Rockstar Games has just launched a free update that lets players fight each other in new multiplayer modes on the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The release shows that Rockstar, a division of Take-Two Interactive, is serious about continuously updating GTA Online, its online multiplayer world set inside of Grand Theft Auto V. The update is one way to extend the life of GTA V, which sold more than $1 billion in its first three days of sales in September.

Players can access the Creator option in the online tab of the pause menu. Players can then create custom matches or edit a previous creation. A tutorial is included.
In Deathmatch, you can create a free-for-all battle anywhere in Los Santos or Blaine County, and then drop the Trigger Location, where players will meet to play. You have control over spawn points, team start points, weapons, vehicles, and other details. With Races, you can create land, air, and sea matches with a chosen route, vehicles, and other options. You can test your creations and then share them.
Rockstar also released the classic Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas for iOS devices today.
