Halo 5 is the first game in the series to get a Teen rating

It looks like the Master Chief might be behaving a little nicer these days.

The ESRB video games rating board has assigned the upcoming Halo 5: Guardians a T for Teen rating, according to GameSpot. This makes it the first title in the main series to not get an M for Mature. Halo 5 comes out for Xbox One on October 27. The ESRB lists the content descriptors as blood, mild language, and violence.

So, what does this mean? Probably not too much. Halo’s violence has always been a bit more on the sci-fi opera side, meaning it was never all that gory and bloody. Halo was also never known for its abundance of cussing. The Teen rating does, however, mean that Microsoft can have an easier time marketing the game to a younger audience. Of course, the Mature rating of old Halo games wasn’t keeping teenagers away (I mean, how old were you when you first played Halo? I was 15.)
