I hope you like better-looking trees.
After more than a year, developer Rockstar Games is finally about to release Grand Theft Auto V on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The best-seller debuts on those newer systems Nov. 18. Naturally, the developer is pouring a lot of effort into improving its latest hit for the more powerful hardware. This includes adding a new first-person mode, but — more obviously — it also includes higher-fidelity in the visuals. Today, Sony released a video comparison that shows some of the improvements that Rockstar made in taking its open-world crime game from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4.
Check it out:
GTA V is already a great-looking game, so most of the upgrades went into the details.
In the video, you can see how trees look more lush and realistic. The cacti actually have needles on PS4. The reflections on cars and helicopters look more dynamic. It all makes for a world that feels more alive.
Of course, the Xbox One and PC (which is getting the game in January) will also have all of these improvements as well.
