Your Heroes of the Storm experience should improve soon.

Right now, Blizzard’s multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) needs players to complete about 100 games before it can figure out how good (or bad) a player is and match them with teammates and opponents of equal skill. “This did not work out for us at all,” Dustin Browder, Heroes of the Storm game director said during a livestream from Gamescom today. Once the next patch hits, you’ll just need to play 20 to 25 placement matches to get a rank used to match you with other players, which the game can then adjust based on your performance.

Blizzard is also getting rid of the Team League, saying that players are preferring the Hero League. Team League allowed a consistent team of five players to rank up together, but Blizzard found it was logistically difficult for people to play with the same five people.

This joins the new StarCraft Medic hero announcement today from Gamescom.
