Right now, Blizzard’s multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) needs players to complete about 100 games before it can figure out how good (or bad) a player is and match them with teammates and opponents of equal skill. “This did not work out for us at all,” Dustin Browder, Heroes of the Storm game director said during a livestream from Gamescom today. Once the next patch hits, you’ll just need to play 20 to 25 placement matches to get a rank used to match you with other players, which the game can then adjust based on your performance.
