A popular show is getting a new mobile game, and we have new contender for the “most confusing title” award (sorry, Kingdom Hearts).
Telltale has published a new mobile game based on Mr. Robot, the hit TV show on the USA Network about hacking and cybersecurity. Called Mr. Robot:1.51exfiltratiOn, the iOS and Android game takes place in real time and tells a story that extends the narrative of the show. It’s developed by Night School Studio, a team of Telltale and Disney alumni that also created the adventure game Oxenfree. The studio is going to use a popular brand to try and make a hit in the $36 billion mobile industry.

Mr. Robot:1.51exfiltratiOn is a premium game, meaning it isn’t free-to-play like many mobile hits. It costs $3. Also, don’t ask us what a 1.51exfiltratiOn is. OK, maybe it’s not quite Kingdom Hearts bad (it’s no Kingdom Hearts 0.2: Birth by Sleep–A Fragmentary Passage), but still … come on, guys.
