Microsoft’s upcoming console, the Xbox One, had a rough coming-out party. Online requirements angered fans while indie developers complained about the inability to self-publish their own titles.
Microsoft has since reversed its stance on both issues, first by allowing all Xbox Ones to work without online connections and then yesterday by announcing a set of indie-friendly features that rival its upcoming competitor’s, the PlayStation 4.

We took to Twitter and asked our followers if they felt more favorably about the upcoming system now than they did during last month’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, when negative buzz for the Xbox One was at its peak. We posted a sampling of your responses below.
@GamesBeat I have zero faith in Microsoft. They only changed the policies because Sony had the upper hand. Not because they listened to fans

@GamesBeat Yes. The anti-consumer policies were initially a deal breaker. I’m still cautious about them returning, but it’s looking better.

@GamesBeat Ya my opinion is still the same as before. Getting a Ps4 and a modded Xbox controller for it(I hate PS controllers).

@GamesBeat No. Their whole initial attitude burned the bridge for me. Who’s to say in the future they won’t do another 180?

@gamesbeat No. If I truly considered the core experience to be worthwhile for me, I’d have purchased it regardless of what it imposed.

@GamesBeat Nope, still going with PS4. I dont want to see if it takes XB1 this many times to get it right with future features.

@GamesBeat I pre-ordered before the 180. I’m thankful to see some changes in their plan, but worries we might have lost more than we gained

@GamesBeat price and mandatory kinect were my main problems with it. they haven’t changed either, so no, my opinion stays the same
