Killer Instinct is coming to that other platform that Microsoft dabbles in — the PC.

During the PC Gamer event at this year’s Electronic Entertainment Expo, Microsoft Xbox head Phil Spencer announced that Double Helix/Iron Galazy Studios/Rare’s free-to-play Xbox fighting game is coming to the PC.

It’s also getting cross-platform play with the Xbox One.

Although there were no further details on the when and where of the game’s release, Spencer noted that Microsoft has noticed that fighting games are ramping up in popularity on the PC platform. Perhaps Killer Instinct is the start of larger plans when it comes to Microsoft and fighting games?
