Following Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix, publisher Square Enix plans to unleash an updated version of Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix exclusively for PlayStation 3 in 2014.
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix will include that extended version of Kingdom Hearts 2 as well as an HD version of PlayStation Portable release Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final Mix. This will mark the North American debut for both of these titles in their Final Mix forms.

It’s truly one of the more phenomenal games, and now completely rebuilt in HD — you’ll be able to play it on your big-screen TV for the first time.”
In addition to the two playable titles, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 Remix will also include high-definition remastered cinematics from Kingdom Hearts: Re:Coded, which debuted on Nintendo DS in 2010 in Japan.
This package will not include the latest original entry in the Kingdom Hearts franchise, 2012’s Dream Drop Distance for 3DS.
Square Enix is currently working on Kingdom Hearts III, which it announced during the PlayStation conference prior to the Electronic Entertainment Expo in early June. That new title will appear on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
