To the skies!

We have a new Final Fantasy song, and, of course, it is beautiful.

Nobuo Uematsu is forever linked with the Final Fantasy franchise. He created numerous, iconic tracks for the role-playing series, and now we get to hear his main theme for Heavensward, the first expansion for the massively multiplayer role-playing game Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn.

Pretty nice, huh? These days, Uematasu is rarely the sole composer for the series. Sometimes, he’ll only contribute a single song (as he did for Final Fantasy XII). So it’s always nice to hear a new Uematsu Final Fantasy song.

Heavensward comes out on June 23. It’ll add new Jobs (advanced classes), flying mounts, and expand on the story.
