The Dark Knight and the Knight Rider, together at last in Lego Dimensions, a place where a super hero icon and an ’80s show about a man and his talking car can live in harmony.
Warner Bros. Interactive revealed today that new content centered on Batman and Knight Rider are coming to its toys-to-life game on February 10. Lego Dimensions launched last year for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360. It allows players to experience Lego versions of multiple media brands by buying special Lego figures, which unlock new characters, levels, and vehicles. New content and figures can keep players engaged with the Lego title, which now has less competition in the toys-to-life category since Disney has ended its Disney Infinity line. Lego Dimensions is building up for a big second year, which also includes content based on gaming icon Sonic the Hedgehog, the upcoming Harry Potter prequel film Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and the cartoon Adventure Time.
The Lego Batman Movie story pack adds new levels based on the film, which also comes out on February 10.
“Gamers can play the complete movie and band together with Batgirl and Robin to fight off the Joker and his team of villains,” Warner Bros. Interactive noted in a press release. “Batgirl’s batarang, glide, and stealth abilities can reach areas with high security access, and Robin’s agility and dive skills provide sneak access. Players can also transform Robin into the Nightwing, utilize his vine cut, and deflect moves for more crime-fighting adventures.”
The Excalibur Batman fun pack will be sold separately. It includes a medieval-style Batman minifig and a Bionic Steed vehicle that you can rebuild into a Bat-Raptor or Ultrabat. The Knight Rider fun pack includes a minifig of Michael Knight and the K.I.T.T. vehicle, which you can rebuild into the K.I.T.T. Jet or Goliath Armor Semi.
