A Minecraft fan couldn't help but make a Les Miserable inspired music video using the block-building game.

Les Miserables Minecraft musical

At this point, when it comes to Minecraft mashups, it’s like people are throwing completely random ideas into a hat to see what to make next. For example, I don’t really know who resides in the cross section of the Venn diagram for Minecraft and Les Miserables. Well, I know at least one guy does.

His name is Eddie Rion, and he couldn’t get the song “One Day More” out of his head after watching the new Les Miserables film. He told his friend, Kelly Sullivan, about it, and together they did what they had to do … which is re-create a version of the musical number in the block-building phenomenon Minecraft.

“While playing Minecraft a few days later I had the idea [for] ‘One Block More,'” Rion wrote on YouTube. “I told the idea to Kelly, who already knew ‘One Day More’ by heart, and she then sat down and wrote all the lyrics for this video in about half an hour. We then recorded all the parts and I put together this video for it.”

The result is Les Minecraft and “One Block More.” Check it out below:
