Sony didn’t reveal much about LittleBigPlanet Hub during its GamesCom 2013 conference. All we know is that it will arrive “later this year” and that it’s something of a social or free-to-play game for LBP fans.

It seems like a scaled-down version of the full game designed to be accessible for all gamers. LBP Hub will give players access to level creation tools, clothes for their characters, and they’ll be able to share their creations with others.

The LBP Hub follows the free-to-play system in which gamers can download and play the standalone game at no cost but can purchase additional accessories in real-world money. The game does not require the player to own a copy of LittleBigPlanet, or any previous title in the series. That said, it may entice  those who are interested and have yet to play an LBP game.
