Logitech is unveiling its latest gaming mouse today, and if you look at it head-on, it looks like a cobra snake with jeweled eyes.
That’s the sort of thing that could attract the attention of e-sports gamers, or professional game players, Logitech believes. The Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime MOBA Gaming Mouse is designed for and tested by professional gamers, said Vincent Tucker, the director of Logitech gaming, in an interview with GamesBeat.

The mouse has a metal spring button-tensioning system that improves click responsiveness, making game actions faster and more accurate. The buttons, shape, and weight of the mouse are tuned to the demands of the pros, who count on victory by being milliseconds faster than their opponents. The device uses Logitech’s Delta Zero sensor technology, which combines lens design, illumination geometry, and algorithms to deliver the most accurate translation of hand movements to on-screen actions in games.
“Our tagline is ‘Science wins,'” Tucker said.

Logitech tested the new mouse with professional multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) gamers from around the world, including players from pro teams such as Team SoloMid, Cloud9, CJ Entus Frost, CJ Entus Blaze, and Invictus Gaming. Logitech actually delayed the launch a couple of months to get the product right, based on their feedback.
“It’s super light and responsive, the buttons are fast and feel great, and the tracking is impeccable,” said Jason “WildTurtle” Tran from Team SoloMid in a statement. “The G302 is exactly what I need to help my team.”
The buttons can register up to five clicks per second. That’s pretty rapid-fire. The device has six programmable buttons, which enable you to do anything from one-button hot keys to complex macros, or strings of keyboard pushes. The primary buttons have been tested for more than 20 million clicks, or the equivalent of an e-sports gamer playing up to 15 hours a day for two years. The mouse weighs 128 grams, and it has a 7-foot cable.
The mouse will be available this month in the U.S. and Europe for $50. You can decide whether this will make you the best League of Legends player in the world.
